Water + Air + Agriculture = New Direct Measurement Offset
Support for Ukrainian Agriculture, Estimated Launch in November 2024.
Ukraine’s agricultural sector has been a vital component of its economy, contributing significantly to GDP, employment, and exports. Prior to the Russian invasion in February 2022, agriculture accounted for 11% of Ukraine’s GDP, involved nearly 20% of the labor force, and made up almost 40% of total exports, with the country being a leading exporter of wheat, corn, and rapeseed. However, the ongoing conflict has severely disrupted agricultural activities, impacting production, exports, and the livelihoods of millions in rural areas. However, the annual agricultural productively remains surprisingly resilient, an asset for the innovative offset. Offset production is estimated to launch in November of 2024.
Here’s a summary table showing the annual revenues and changes over the last five years:
Year | Agricultural Revenue (USD Billion) | Notes | Source |
